Media Release: Felton Industries secures triple ISO certification to support national growth
September 11, 2025 – Felton Industries, Australia’s leading designer, manufacturer, and supplier of premium Australian-made aluminium outdoor furniture, has announced it has achieved ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications, building on its existing ISO 9001 certification. The three internationally recognised standards demonstrate Felton’s commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and quality, and reflect the company’s ongoing investment in structured growth.
Felton has built a strong presence in the education sector and across local councils throughout Australia, growing from its beginnings as a family business based in Condobolin, regional New South Wales (NSW). The business undertook the rigorous accreditation process to strengthen its credentials and support long-term strategic growth, with a clear vision to extend its footprint into major infrastructure and public sector projects.
The three ISO certifications for quality management systems (QMS), occupational health and safety (OH&S) management systems, and environmental management systems (EMS) are critical for engaging with architects, tier one contractors, and larger projects across sectors including education, healthcare, and civic infrastructure. Securing all three ISO standards sets a new benchmark for Felton and positions it to enter new markets with confidence.
Mark Wiggins, general manager, Felton Industries, said, “We’ve always been committed to doing things the right way, and caring for our people, customers, and the communities we serve. These certifications aren’t just badges for the Felton team. They represent the effort we’ve made to build a safer, more sustainable, and more structured business that’s ready to grow.
“It’s taken months of hard work and a genuine top-down commitment across the business. We’ve updated processes, embedded training, implemented more rigorous internal audits, and taken a good hard look at how we work, where we source materials from, and what our products mean for people and places. It’s been a reset that demonstrates our values and lays the foundation for what comes next.”
ISO 45001 focuses on workplace health and safety, while ISO 14001 addresses environmental management. Felton is already certified to ISO 9001, which relates to quality management systems. Together, these three standards support end-to-end improvements across the full lifecycle of product design, manufacture, installation, and customer interaction.
Internally, the process has introduced a range of improvements, from logging every customer interaction and non-conformance report, to updating how safety is monitored in the workshop, and restructuring the company’s powder coating process to reduce environmental impact.
Felton has also increased the use of recycled materials in selected product lines and improved packaging and waste management across the business. These actions reinforce Felton’s ongoing commitment to building a more sustainable future, both in its operations and through the longevity and recyclability of its outdoor furniture.
Mark Wiggins said, “Our goal is to make sure every team member goes home the same way they arrived: safe and healthy. That mindset now runs through everything we do, from training and PPE to how we design our workspaces and manage our equipment. It’s also shifted how we think about environmental impact, making it a real whole-of-business approach.”
Felton’s recent progress is already being recognised in the market, reflected in improvements in customer experience. This includes a notable rise in Felton’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) to 69, a rating that puts Felton among the industry’s best and reflects the positive changes implemented through the certification process.
Mark Wiggins said, “We want our customers to know they’re dealing with a manufacturer that’s serious, structured, and in it for the long haul. These certifications prove that Felton is ready for the next level of work. They also help reassure customers that we’re not just meeting the minimum; we’re pushing ourselves to improve and deliver every day.”
Felton will continue to build its footprint across Australia’s public spaces and infrastructure from this foundation, offering durable, sustainable, and Australian-made seating solutions backed by quality and care at every step.
