Felton Industries launches Elite grandstand range featuring improved comfort and structured seating
April 7th, 2026 – Felton Industries, Australia’s leading designer, manufacturer, and supplier of Australian-made premium aluminium outdoor furniture, has announced its New Elite Grandstand Seating Range, designed to deliver improved spectator comfort, accessibility, and long-term performance across community, education, entertainment, and sporting environments.
The Elite range builds on Felton’s established grandstand portfolio, introducing individual plastic bucket seating, a deeper structural profile, and a reinforced backrest. The result delivers a more comfortable and practical seating solution that supports structured spectator experiences while maintaining the durability and compliance required for public spaces.
Simon Clayton, product marketing manager, Felton Industries, said, “The Elite range reflects how spectator expectations are changing. Venues want seating that lasts and improves comfort and usability. By introducing individual seats and increasing the depth of the structure, we’ve created a solution that supports both.”
A key feature of the Elite range includes the use of up to 53 individual seats, replacing traditional plank-style seating with a more defined and organised layout. This configuration supports clearer seating allocation and helps venues manage capacity with greater control. It also improves the overall spectator experience by providing personal space and a more supportive seating position.
Simon Clayton said, “The deeper design provides improved legroom and easier movement through rows, reducing disruption when spectators enter or exit seating areas. This makes the grandstand particularly suited to busy environments where accessibility and flow matter, such as school sports days, local competitions, and community events.”
Structurally certified for public use, the Elite grandstand includes a reinforced backrest and engineered aluminium frame that improves safety and long-term reliability. It is typically installed as a fixed structure for stability, with optional sleds available for sites that require repositioning or transport flexibility.
Constructed from aluminium, the range is designed for durability in Australian conditions. Its weather-resistant, low-maintenance materials make it well suited to outdoor environments where ongoing upkeep and lifecycle costs are key considerations for councils, schools, and facility managers.
Felton developed the Elite range to meet demand across a range of sectors, including:
- local councils upgrading community sports fields and recreational facilities
- sporting clubs and associations accommodating growing participation and attendance
- schools and universities requiring safe and durable spectator seating
- event and entertainment venues seeking structured seating for outdoor areas.
Simon Clayton said, “Felton is seeing increasing demand for seating that supports both functionality and user experience. The Elite range responds to that need with a design that improves comfort, supports accessibility, and remains practical for long-term use.”
