Celebrate Parks Week

Parks Week is the perfect time to embrace the great outdoors. Take a deep breath of fresh air, and maybe even ditch the phone for a while (or even better – leave it at home).

Get involved and rediscover all things outdoors – no screens, no distractions, just nature and real life.

Your local oasis

From March 3-10, 2025, Parks and Leisure Australia, in partnership with Recreation Aotearoa in New Zealand, will celebrate the beauty and benefits of our parks and green spaces. This week highlights how these natural refuges positively add to our lives.

Unplug and play

This year’s theme? Phones down, it’s time to play! Hit pause on the endless pings and notifications, and tune into the world around you – nature, family, and friends.

Why ditch the phone? For one, that constant buzz can feel like a never-ending to-do list. Give your brain a much-needed break and trade screen time for the breeze on your face and grass under your feet. Plus, scrolling stalls creativity. When you unplug, your brain has room to roam, and ideas start flowing.

Let’s be honest – your phone is not a creative partner, it’s a distraction. Take a breather from it, and you’ll notice the world, spark real conversations, and rediscover what matters.

Get involved

Check out what your local council has lined up, or get creative and plan your event. Think beyond the playground: a petting zoo, face painting, a sausage sizzle, or even a group skating lesson. Gather your crew and make it your own.

Feeling adventurous? Try a forest therapy walk or pack a cheese plate to share under a shady tree.

Whether you’re into long walks or stretching out with a good book – parks are for everyone.

Find an event near you, or create your own.

Park perfection

The Ribbon Bench Seat with Backrest, Ribbon Bin Enclosure, and Ribbon Outdoor Setting work individually or together to transform park life with style and comfort. For picnics, coffee with friends, or people-watching, the sleek design provides maximum comfort and functionality so you can enjoy time in nature for longer.

For a sustainable setting, the Peak In-Ground Bench Seat With Backrest and Peak In-Ground Picnic Table are made from a blend of 100% recycled plastic and timber. These durable benches can handle the harsh sun without fading or warping. UV-stabilised composite materials and sturdy steel legs make them a smart choice for eco-conscious spaces. Invest in style and a greener future.

Green possibilities

Parks Week is your cue to hit pause, unplug, and reconnect with the world around you. Stroll through or soak in the serenity of the outdoors and enjoy the simplicity of real-life connections and fresh air. Let’s collaborate and find functional, beautiful park-loving pieces.
