New Park Shelters for Iluka Resources Limited

Headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, Iluka Resources Limited is a major participant in the global mineral sands industry. One of Iluka’s production facilities is located in the town of Capel at the southern end of the Perth Basin. The areas’ Mediterranean style climate is characterised by hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. When Iluka wanted to take advantage of an attractive outdoor area to improve the amenity for its personnel, their Administration Management Coordinator, Christy Osborne, contacted the team at Felton Industries for advice.

With summer temperatures rising to 40 degrees and above and significant rainfall experienced during winter, it was essential that any outdoor furniture was able to provide shelter from both sun and rain to be useful all year round. Of equal importance was the requirement for the settings to be long lasting, easy to clean and an attractive addition to the beautiful, park-like environment.  The Felton team recommended the installation of three of our Deluxe Broad Roof Sheltered Park Settings. Constructed from premium Australian aluminium, this fantastic park shelter features more than two square metres of Colorbond roofing over a 2020mm table top and accompanying bench seats. Of particular interest to the Iluka team was our ability to powder coat the frames in a colour that matched the beauty of the location.

The end result speaks for itself. The installation of the Deluxe Broad Roof Sheltered Park Settings transformed this beautiful area, adding a year round amenity for Iluka’s Capel staff and a natural compliment to the picturesque location.
