Transforming Outdoor Areas with Colour at Lurnea High School

Lurnea High School is situated in south-west Sydney, serving a vibrant, culturally-rich community. The school takes pride in delivering holistic education, focusing on balanced and inclusive learning. They approached Felton Industries about transforming a large courtyard space with outdoor furniture to make it into a popular usable space for students. Their requirements included choosing enough furniture to cater for a large numbers of students, an attractive design, plenty of colour and a good flow for the outdoor space.

Due to the large size of the project, an installer contracted by Felton undertook a site visit to assess what would work best in the proposed spaces at Lurnea High. The visit gave the school a great opportunity to put forward their thoughts, ask questions and gain confidence in the units and specific sizes they intended to choose.

Following the successful visit, Lurnea decided to create 5 different designated seating areas delineated by colour. Included in the exciting new seating zones were Felton classic Park Settings, a staple across schools, Jumbo Park Settings to encourage interaction and seating up to 14 per outdoor setting, Felton’s EcoTrend Sheltered Park Settings offering a stylish all-in-one shelter and an array of bench seating. The school choose to use purple, green, blue, yellow and red powder-coating colours on their outdoor furniture.

The turnaround time between initial contact, order, delivery and installation was impressive and Lurnea High School were thrilled with the outcome. Having Andrew the installer visit the school made planning and organisation of the new outdoor areas simple and straightforward. They were very happy with service they received from initial enquiry through to installation. The project was just what the school hoped and students love the new outdoor spaces. The colour adds extra vibrance and the design of the areas means students can easily move between one space and the other adding to the convenience and enjoyment of the outdoor areas.
