Mount La Verna Retirement Village
The Mount La Verna Retirement Village was established to provide its residents with companionship, security and quality of life. Located in the northern suburbs of Perth in Western Australia, Mount La Verna is only a short distance from the local shopping centre and library. While most of Mt La Verna’s residents enjoy an outing, many are no longer able to drive themselves. Fortunately, the village is well served by public transport and the residents regularly travel by bus from the stop immediately outside the village. In keeping with their objective of providing the best possible care, the management of Mount La Verna wanted to install sheltered seating at the bus stop for the comfort and protection of residents.
Another priority for Mount La Verna was to ensure that the new seating blended with the thoughtful design of the facility. Felton Industries’ Back Rest Bench with Shelter fit the bill perfectly. The standard colour scheme of Shale Grey powder coated frames matched to a Deep Ocean Blue Colorbond roof looks fantastic in its own right and blended beautifully with the villages’ architecture. With safety a primary consideration, the footings of the Back Rest Bench with Shelter were anchored in a concrete slab. The premium Australian aluminium construction of the bench and frame is incredibly strong and provides all-weather durability while being virtually maintenance free. Engineered to the highest standards, the Back Rest Bench with Shelter is certain to provide many years of comfortable service.
We’re pleased to say that the new shelter is a real hit with Mount La Verna’s residents. While waiting to begin one of those journeys that are so important to maintaining independence and self-reliance, they now relax in shaded comfort. The villages’ groundsman was amazed to discover how simple the Back Rest Bench with Shelter was to erect, and the CEO was very pleasantly surprised with the price. A great result for all at Mount La Verna.
